About The Artist

Fran Byrne works at her studio in Tully, NY twenty miles south
of Syracuse.
Strong textural surfaces, glazed or painted,
sculpted with facial expressions of wonder and glee distinctively
identitfy the rabbits, dogs, cats, and other creatures of Fran
Byrne.
Fran has a Masters Degree
from Syracuse University, and has been tutored by Prudence Hubbard,
ceramist sculptor,
who was a former student of Ruth Randall,
and who taught at Munson-Williams Proctor Institute, Cazenovia College,
Syracuse University and SUNY New Paltz.
Mrs. Byrne is a member of the Syracuse Ceramic Guild and has
had her work exhibited at the Everson Museum of Art
in
Syracuse, N.Y. at the Guild's Annual Show. Her work can be found at the
Rochester Memorial Art Gallery Store,
as well as numerous
private collections throughout the country. |
